Barstool Sports is seeking a Mostly Sports Intern to join our team for the summer. Mostly Sports covers the daily world of sports and beyond, blending commentary, internet culture, and fan-driven energy into a fast-growing live show. This role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes sports, understands the digital content landscape, and wants hands-on experience in both live production and long-form content creation.
This internship runs from May 26 to August 28 and is based 100% in our Chicago office.
What You'll Do- Assist in the daily production of Mostly Sports, including studio setup, managing technical elements, and supporting smooth live broadcasts.
- Work closely with the team to expand Mostly Sports’ long-form content output, including vlogs, extended cuts, and live streams beyond the core daily show.
- Help plan, shoot, and edit additional content initiatives for the summer, with a focus on longer-form storytelling and behind-the-scenes coverage.
- Clip, edit, and distribute highlights, debates, and viral sports moments across TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter/X.
- Collaborate with the production team to create engaging, shareable sports content that aligns with the show’s voice and audience.
- Monitor trending sports news and internet moments to help identify timely content opportunities.
- Engage with fans across platforms and help drive conversation during and after live broadcasts.
- Track performance metrics across platforms and identify growth opportunities.
- Work Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, in-office, with flexibility for live events and occasional weekend coverage as needed.
- A rising junior/senior with strong passion for sports and deep familiarity with the Mostly Sports brand and tone.
- Understanding of major sports leagues, storylines, and internet discourse.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in long-form video content (vlogs, YouTube-style content, live streams, or similar).
- Proficiency or strong working knowledge of video editing tools (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or similar), with an emphasis on longer-form editing workflows.
- Experience managing social media and driving engagement across Twitter/X, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Basic graphic design skills (Photoshop or similar) for social and on-air use.
- Strong organization and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, self-starting mindset with confidence in a live production setting.
Pay Rate: $16.60/hr
