This position provides critical accounting and administrative support to the Accounting Department. This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timely processing of mortgage-related financial activities while consistently delivering professional, high quality service to internal and external customers. Responsibilities
- Mortgage Accounting Auditor
- Perform borrower mortgage accounting audits with a high degree of accuracy.
- Identify, research, and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Reconcile related general ledger accounts daily and/or monthly.
- Deposit Coordination
- Prepare and record daily deposits, including data entry into multiple accounting systems and reconciliation with cash received.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and backup documentation for monthend processes and management inquiries.
- Process and balance merchant credit card payments in all applicable systems.
- Accounts Payable Support
- Process daily check requests to support mortgage operations.
- Assist and serve as backup for the accounts payable function, including invoice distribution, verification of GL coding and cost centers, invoice entry, and scheduled expense check generation.
- Wire Desk Coordination
- Manage the daily mortgage loan wire process with precision and adherence to internal controls.
- Verify all wire data, order and upload files to Q2, and ensure accuracy of transactions.
- Confirm wire totals and reconcile with corresponding cash accounts.
- General Accounting Support
- Verify data associated with the purchase and sale of mortgage loans to investors.
- Participate in special projects as assigned to support department initiatives.

- Ability to quickly learn and navigate new accounting and financial software systems.
- Strong organizational and timemanagement abilities with high attention to detail.
