Construction & Installation Manager - Offshore Wind Monopiles

Manage the design, manufacturing, fabrication and installation of offshore wind monopiles.

Wide ranging and senior manager role – overseeing with Design & engineering phase, Manufacture/ Fabrication and finally Installation in Far East.

Need experience in monopile design, construction and installation for offshore wind.

Experience:

We are seeking candidates who have already acted as C&I Manager for foundation installation projects within Offshore Wind, involving monopiles. You have achieved documented excellent results and feel comfortable with taking on leadership roles at high levels. You will enjoy working autonomously within a flat organizational structure characterized by short reporting lines, quick decisions and a can-do attitude.

You will have good people skills and ability to effectively manage diverse teams to get the best out of everyone involved. You will have several Offshore Wind monopile construction and installation projects in the past and have an excellent track record in the industry.

Supervise the construction of installation tools and then take them offshore for project in Far East. 

Must have extensive monopile installation experience & comfortable supervising the fabrication of the kit used to install the monopiles.

As Monopile Construction Manager you will take responsibility for planning and executing the offshore execution phase of large and complex T&I projects within Offshore Wind.

Oversee/ supervise and execute all mobilization, transport & installation and demobilization activities safely and on schedule. 

Requires an experienced engineer to oversee the design and fabrication of all tools required to install the Monopiles. Leading to overseeing the installation operations using these tools:

  • Lifting Tool for upending and setdown of MP
  • Grippers used to support the MP during setdown and MP driving.

Advantage: Transportation cradles and grillages to support the MP/ drilling requirements and tools to facilitate 

UK Contract: with travel to EU & Asia. Duration: 1-2 years

NB: it is essential to have extensive offshore wind monopile construction and installation experience as well as enough seniority to be credible to oversee work

Skills Required

  • Proven experience as Construction & Installation (C&I) Manager for monopile foundation installation projects in offshore wind.
  • Extensive offshore monopile construction and installation experience, with multiple completed projects.
  • Experience supervising design and fabrication of installation tools and kits (lifting tools, grippers) and taking them offshore.
  • Ability to plan and execute mobilization, transport, installation and demobilization activities safely and on schedule.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills to lead diverse, multidisciplinary teams at senior level.
  • Comfortable supervising fabrication of installation kit and overseeing offshore installation operations in Far East/EU.
  • Experience with transportation cradles, grillages or drilling-related tooling (advantage).
  • Willingness to accept a UK contract with travel to EU and Asia for 1-2 years.
