  • Lead investigations related to friction, wear, lubrication, reliability, and equipment performance using scientific and engineering principles.
  • Design and execute application testing, validate solution performance, and translate findings into actionable customer recommendations.
  • Serve as the technical lead for strategic customer opportunities, helping customers improve equipment reliability, productivity, and cost-in-use performance.
  • Deliver technical training, presentations, and product expertise to customers, channel partners, and internal teams.
  • Support the development and commercialization of new and enhanced lubricant technologies by translating customer and market needs into innovation opportunities.
  • Develop expertise in tribology testing methods, application analysis, and specialized laboratory equipment through collaboration with global subject matter experts.
  • Explore opportunities to leverage advanced lubricants, specialty materials, and low-friction coatings to create differentiated customer solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with commercial, marketing, manufacturing, supply chain, and R&D teams to drive business growth and customer success.

  • Passion for solving technical problems and delivering value to customers.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into practical customer solutions.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and establish credibility with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Initiative, curiosity, and a continuous learning mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in application engineering, technical service, product development, tribology, or lubrication
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials performance, lubrication principles, reliability, or tribology concepts.
  • Demonstrated success solving customer, technical, manufacturing, or application-related challenges using a scientific and data-driven approach.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience working directly with customers, distributors, operations teams, or other external stakeholders is highly desirable.
  • Experience in industrial equipment, specialty materials, lubricants, manufacturing, oil & gas, energy, automotive, mining, or related industries is preferred.
