Summary:

The Module Manager will be in charge of managing and optimizing our module manufacturing operations and staff. This position involves coordinating the machine shop, plastics, plating and assembly functions, ensuring smooth product assembly and completion, and utilizing SAP expertise to enhance operational efficiency and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior management and working alongside the Assembly Manager to manage production deliveries in line with customer requirements.
  • Oversee and mentor production machine shop, plastics, plating and assembly functions, fostering a culture of collaboration, efficiency, and excellence.
  • Deliver to plan the module manufacturing operations, improve on-time delivery, and achieve quality and efficiency targets.
  • Utilize SAP software to analyze production data, monitor key performance indicators, and make data-driven decisions to optimize module manufacturing process.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, quality, and other departments.
  • Utilize continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other relevant tools.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to facilitate the introduction of new products and design changes into module manufacturing process, ensuring scalability and manufacturability,
  • Lead root cause analyses for production issues, non-conformances, and deviations, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Promote a culture of employee growth and development through mentoring, training, and performance management.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and quality documentation.
  • Adjust workflow and orders to meet production schedules and customer expectations.
  • Recommends and/or implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
  • Maintains company records for the value streams per ISO 9001:2015 requirements amongst team members.
  • Reviews and approves weekly time and attendance records for shop staff.
  • Coordination, alignment, and leadership of cross functional resources toward successful execution of escalation plan and countermeasures against ‘missed plans’.
Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience in defense manufacturing desired.
  • Past SAP experience is desired. ERP experience mandatory
  • An Associate’s Degree with 2+ years of experience or 3-5 experience in a manufacturing role, in a leadership/support role.
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing and production environment required.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a Lead or Supervisor role preferred.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and electrical machines
  • Proficient Computer experience with MS Office and SAP
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)In the creation of new control and logistics concepts

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Associate's degree with 2+ years of experience, or 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing leadership or support role
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing and production environment
  • 2-5 years of experience in a lead or supervisor role
  • ERP experience
  • SAP experience
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and electrical machines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in defense manufacturing
