Modular Drafting Specialist

Factory Support Drafter,  Owatonna, MN.

Rise Modular, LLC is a leading construction technology company that designs, engineers, and manufactures full volumetric modular units for inclusion in multi-family apartment and hospitality development projects. This position is based in Owatonna, Minnesota.

Job Description:

The primary role of the Shop Drawing Drafter is to create technical shop drawings for use by our construction labor force in producing modular construction units in our manufacturing facility.  Drafters use Revit Architecture, along with a Revit add-in for wood framing, to coordinate framing, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems based on construction documents prepared by the design team.

Responsibilities:

• Reviews Design Integration Documents and related materials to produce coordinated production drawings for factory use
• Redline Drafting and Management
• Interfaces with internal drafting team to clarify and/or confirm information received
• Interfaces with Manufacturing Team to address issues and discrepancies
• Follows established procedures and standards for production drawings
• Develops solutions to technical and design problems based on Rise Modular fabrication methods and practices

Qualifications:

• Commercial / Residential drafting experience (Min. 2 years of relevant drafting experience)
• Dependability
• Revit experience / actively engaged in Revit Training
• Technical Aptitude and willingness to learn

Preferred skills and experience:

• Self-motivated with a desire for completing tasks in a timely and efficient manner with minimal supervision and guidance
• Strong attention to detail while completing tasks within an established schedule
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Experience with StrucSoft MWF for wood frame construction is a plus
• Experience with Modular design or construction is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word)

 Hours: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm, times may differ pending factory support needs.
 Pay: $25-$30+ per hour depending on experience
