Torch Technologies is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Integration Engineer (Junior) to join our team and support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Engineering Directorate Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Office. This role supports the testing and integration of the Missile Defense System (MDS) within a distributed Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) simulation environment for ground and flight test events, as well as broader DoD partner support.
As a Modeling and Simulation Integration Engineer (Junior), your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
- Support the integration, testing, and operation of HWIL simulation environments for MDS Ground Tests, Flight Tests, and continuous integration activities.
- Conduct installation, configuration, checkout, and testing of Objective Simulation Framework (OSF) systems in accordance with program requirements.
- Analyze HWIL architecture performance and assist in identifying and resolving hardware/software integration issues.
- Collaborate with government personnel, contractors, and internal teams to support mission objectives and test execution.
- Develop and execute test scenarios, including threat modeling and simulation for mission-specific requirements.
- Document system configurations, test procedures, and results, and generate reports to support test events and analysis.
- Participate in technical reviews, working groups, and team meetings, and provide status updates as required.
- Support mission planning, execution, and post-event analysis for ground and flight test activities, including pre-mission risk reduction and post-flight reconstruction.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in modeling and simulation, systems integration, or test and evaluation.
- Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in modeling and simulation, systems integration, or test and evaluation.
- Experience supporting Missile Defense Agency (MDA) programs or similar defense systems. Familiarity with Objective Simulation Framework (OSF) or similar simulation tools.
- Experience with software testing, including development of test plans, procedures, and reports. System administration experience, with certifications such as Security+ and/or Linux+ highly desirable.
- Experience supporting Test and Evaluation (T&E), including pre-flight and ground testing activities.
- Familiarity with GMD systems or GMD System Trainer (GST). Experience working with cross-functional teams and government stakeholders.
- Advanced degree in a relevant technical field or additional certifications.
