About the Team
The Goodnotes Marketplace is a digital platform that connects millions of Goodnotes users with productivity tools and content. Integrated into the Goodnotes app and web experience, the Marketplace enables users to easily discover, purchase, and install new creative tools directly within their digital notebooks. It empowers a global community of creators to design, distribute, and monetise their work, expanding the Goodnotes ecosystem beyond note-taking into a vibrant hub for productivity and creativity.
We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Marketplace Engineering team. You’ll manage iOS, Full-Stack, ML, DataOps. and Backend engineers, while providing hands-on technical leadership, shaping architectural decisions, and driving product strategy. This is a high-impact role where your technical vision and people management skills directly influence the future of Goodnotes.
What you’ll do
- Lead delivery of high-quality products that delight millions of users across multiple platforms.
- Drive technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for a multi-surface product.
- Build a new AI driven full stack tool to empower the Marketplace offerings
- Mentor and grow a team of engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, excellence, and innovation.
- Build and scale high-performing cross-functional teams across time zones, balancing autonomy and alignment.
- Influence key technical decisions, participate in code and architecture reviews, and champion best practices.
Who you are
- You have led large, cross-functional engineering teams to deliver complex B2C products at scale.
- You have working knowledge and comfortable managing Machine Learning scope for net new 0→1 initiatives
- You have deep expertise in development and backend systems, with experience across multi-platform products.
- You enjoy hands-on technical involvement—reviewing code, participating in architecture discussions, and solving challenging engineering problems.
- You thrive in a fast-moving environment and are comfortable balancing technical strategy with operational execution.
- Bonus: Experience with online marketplaces, ecommerce systems, or platforms with high concurrency and large-scale content distribution.
