Position Summary

Life Medical is seeking an experienced and compassionate Mobile Echocardiography Technologist (Cardiac Sonographer) to join our growing diagnostic imaging team. In this mobile role, you will perform high-quality echocardiograms using portable ultrasound equipment at patient homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and other healthcare locations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care while working independently in the field.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Travel to patient homes, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare locations to perform scheduled echocardiographic examinations.
  • Perform comprehensive transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) in accordance with physician orders and established imaging protocols.
  • Acquire high-quality diagnostic images and measurements for physician interpretation.
  • Evaluate image quality during examinations to ensure complete and accurate studies.
  • Verify patient identity and explain procedures to ensure patient comfort and understanding.
  • Accurately document patient information, examination details, and technical findings.
  • Upload completed studies promptly for physician interpretation.
  • Maintain portable echocardiography equipment, ensuring proper cleaning, maintenance, and reporting of equipment concerns.
  • Adhere to all infection control standards, HIPAA regulations, OSHA guidelines, and company policies.
  • Communicate professionally with physicians, nurses, caregivers, facility staff, and scheduling personnel.
  • Complete all required documentation and reports accurately and within established timeframes.
  • Maintain an organized daily schedule while adapting to changes in patient needs and priorities.

QualificationsQualificationsRequired
  • Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • Current ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) certification required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience performing echocardiograms independently.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and echocardiographic imaging techniques.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the assigned service area.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a mobile healthcare environment.
Preferred
  • Experience performing mobile echocardiography.
  • Experience using portable echocardiography equipment.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Experience working in home care, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, or assisted living communities.
  • Experience performing contrast echocardiography or additional cardiac imaging modalities.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, transport, and set up portable echocardiography equipment.
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and assist patients throughout the workday.
  • Ability to travel between multiple patient locations during scheduled shifts.
  • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle for extended periods.

Shift Availability

  • Full-Time; Monday through Friday, 8-10 hour shifts
  • Per-Diem

Skills Required
