The Role

Summer Trainee is a short-term paid internship that allows you to kickstart your fabulous journey in the IT and Telecom world. As our Trainee you can get your first experience and learn from the best experts in this field. You will join the Applications Development team, which is a part of Network & Performance Engineering department. We are developing advanced product intelligence and knowledge engineering systems, which operate on vast amounts of data and are used by thousands of Nokia employees worldwide. As a member of an Agile team you will be involved in software development of our web applications supporting the Nokia products evolution. 

Responsibilities
  • Learn by working with Nokia machine learning and analytics experts 
  • Engage in hands-on development of AI-powered solutions, leveraging LLMs to streamline and innovate our data processing workflows
  • Validate the implementation and compare the proposed solutions 
  • Explore and get familiar with various open-source software libraries 
  • Present research findings through papers and oral presentations within the organization 
  • Actively participate in new and challenging projects to gain hands-on experience in machine learning 
  • Apply machine learning methods to exciting applications that can positively impact the future of Nokia
     
Qualifications
  • Active student status 
  • Good English and Polish, both spoken and written
  • Willingness to work full-time during the summertime
  • Very good Python programming skills 
  • Understanding of the training process of machine learning models 
  • Experience in PyTorch 
  • Basic understanding of RAG systems 
  • Large autonomy in work, ability to ask for support, good communication, strong attention to details
