Job Description
BAE Systems is looking for a qualified Systems Engineer to join our Mk21A team in support of Program Acquisition for the MK21A Reentry Vehicle Development Program as required by the warfighter, Air Force Global Strike Command. We're seeking a Systems Engineer to evaluate weapon design, development, production, and deployment of our nation's newest re-entry vehicle. This position will also support the oversight and development of safety, security, surety and control of the re-entry vehicle. The advancement of technical skills and analysis capabilities are emphasized while producing high-quality products and effectively supporting the government customer.
This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to shape the development and deployment of a re-entry vehicle on the Sentinel weapon system-the national security critical backbone of our nuclear deterrent capability. A successful candidate is creative, flexible, and comfortable handling diverse and sometimes conflicting priorities. Job location will be at Hill AFB, Utah.
Additional responsibilities include providing weapon system expertise in conducting integrated test engineering-level assessments of analysis, production, verification, validation, operation, maintenance, and problem resolution processes as part of the program development cycle and to identify and mitigate design, production, and test deficiencies that could impact successful development.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • B.S. degree in engineering, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of progressive technical experience or 2 years with a Masters Degree.
  • Nuclear Surety Experience.
  • Must possess and maintain a US DoD Security Clearance.


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Experience with ICBM Weapon Systems.
  • Familiarity with reviewing Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRL) deliverables.
  • Familiarity with program management principles, including cost, schedule, and performance assessment.
  • Experience with DoD acquisition programs.


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $91980 - $156330
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
