Job Description

The Red Gate Group is seeking a highly motivated Mission Assurance Team Lead to support the United States Air Force (USAF). In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for the pre-assessment coordination, strategic planning, and execution support of Mission Assurance Assessments (MAA) across USAF installations. You will lead a multidisciplinary team in the development and delivery of All Hazards and Threat Assessment (AHTA) products within the Enterprise Protection Risk Management (EPRM) framework, providing vital analysis that safeguards national security assets and critical infrastructure.

This position plays a pivotal role in protecting the operational resilience of task critical assets (TCAs) and defense critical infrastructure (DCI) by integrating risk intelligence from a wide variety of sources—including operational orders, system data, and installation-specific mission requirements. The Team Lead acts as the key liaison between field teams and AF/A3OB leadership, delivering clear, actionable insights in support of USAF’s enterprise-wide Mission Assurance (MA) Construct.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary lead for pre-assessment coordination, working closely with Mission Analysts to align assessment focus areas.

  • Oversee and manage the development and submission of All Hazards and Threat Assessment (AHTA) products in EPRM.

  • Conduct installation-level support activities, ensuring all relevant data is collected, validated, and integrated into mission-focused risk assessments.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to analyze data from systems, orders, and plans related to critical infrastructure and mission execution.

  • Lead briefings, updates, and status reports to leadership, providing clear analysis, recommendations, and mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting across all assessments and maintain alignment with DoD and USAF mission assurance policies.

  • Support the coordination and integration of findings into broader Critical Asset Risk Management (CARM) programs.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance

  • Proven experience leading teams in risk management, mission assurance, or infrastructure protection roles

  • Strong knowledge of DoD and USAF risk assessment methodologies, including familiarity with DoDI 3020.45, AFPD 10-24, and AFI 10-2402

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable strategies

  • Ability to work collaboratively in high-stakes environments and maintain operational focus under tight deadlines
