POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Data Analyst you will work on the end to end flow of a broad range of analytics use cases, you will be assisting data engineers in acquiring and processing the data, building and testing the appropriate model, to overseeing the deployment into production an essential tool for data exploration and business decision making. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct advanced data analysis and exploration using Jupyter Notebooks, Python tools, and other relevant technologies to derive actionable insights and support business objectives.
  • Utilize extensive experience with SQL and NoSQL databases to manage, query, and analyze large datasets, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Design and implement data models that effectively capture business requirements and translate them into structured, scalable data assets.
  • Work proficiently in both cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and on-premises infrastructure to manage data pipelines, storage solutions, and analytical processes.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements, ensuring alignment between business objectives and data solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for data-driven improvements and proactively address challenges in data analysis, modeling, and software delivery.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirement gathering to deployment, ensuring that data solutions are delivered on time and meet quality standards.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Technical Skills:
    - Proficient in Jupyter Notebooks, Python, SQL, and Hadoop.
    - Hands-on experience with data modeling and designing data assets.
    - Strong understanding of Hadoop ecosystems and their applications in data analysis.
    - Experience working in both cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and on-premise setups.
  • Hands-on experience in software delivery, with a deep understanding of the development process and lifecycle - must-have.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement data models that align with business needs.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and data-driven solutions.
  • A proactive approach to identifying issues and opportunities, with a strong problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing projects or leading initiatives, particularly in a data-focused environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, providing mentorship and guidance to junior analysts.
