Middleware Admin (WebSphere, Oracle Fusion and Unix/Linux)

Role Overview:

A Middleware Administrator is responsible for managing, configuring, and maintaining middleware systems that facilitate seamless communication between software applications. This role ensures optimal system performance, security, and reliability.

Software Requirements:

• Proficiency in middleware technologies (e.g., IBM WebSphere, Oracle Fusion).
• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Understanding of networking concepts and cloud technologies.

Overall Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain middleware platforms such as WebSphere, Apache, and Tomcat.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Perform regular upgrades and implement optimization strategies.
• Document middleware configurations and processes.
• Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement cross-functional projects.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and maintain disaster recovery plans.
• Provide technical support and training to users and staff.

Category-wise Technical Skills:

• Middleware Technologies:

  • Proficiency in IBM WebSphere and Oracle Fusion.
  • Experience with Apache and Tomcat platforms.

• Operating Systems:

  • Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in middleware administration, with a focus on WebSphere, Oracle Fusion, and Unix/Linux.

• Experience with system performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
