Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Middleware Operations Engineer to join a dynamic team supporting critical data platforms in a production environment. This role focuses on ensuring the stability and performance of Kafka and Qlik Replicate platforms, contributing to operational excellence and incident resolution within a demanding and regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily operations of Kafka and Qlik Replicate platforms
- Monitor production environments and ensure system availability and performance
- Troubleshoot incidents and perform root cause analysis
- Handle service requests, standard changes, and operational tasks
- Work within an L2 support model with a high level of autonomy
- Analyze logs and use monitoring tools to identify and resolve issues
- Maintain operational documentation and follow best practices
- Collaborate with internal teams, ensuring clear communication and quality handovers
- Contribute to strengthening Qlik operational capabilities and Kafka production support
- Gradually develop understanding of Cloudera platform dependencies
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in production support, middleware operations, or platform operations
- Experience in banking or other critical production environments
- Proven experience with Kafka administration or support
- Hands-on experience with Qlik Replicate or similar CDC/replication tools
- Good understanding of incident management, monitoring, and operational procedures
- Knowledge of Linux systems and log analysis
- Experience working in L2 support environments with autonomy
Nice to Have
- Exposure to Cloudera environments
- Knowledge of database replication concepts
Additional Requirements
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with ticketing and incident management tools
- Proficiency in English (C1 mandatory)
- Basic proficiency in French (A1 mandatory)
