Substitute Teachers
Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School (HIES) is seeking Upper School and Middle School Substitute Teachers for the 2025-2026 academic year. Multiple positions are available. Substitute Teachers will work on an as-needed basis based on availability. Interested applicants should be able to supervise a wide variety of grade levels from 6-12th grade. Experience teaching, tutoring and/or working with youth will be preferred.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support students by leading small groups, individual instruction, and in some cases, whole class lessons utilizing effective classroom management techniques
- Manage attendance reporting and other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- High School diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Demonstrated flexibility and responsiveness to a variety of learning styles
- Ethical behavior, professionalism, and respect for diversity
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Successful completion of pre-employment background screening, drug testing and safety training required.
