N-iX is looking for an experienced Middle/Senior Power BI Engineer for the part-time engagement. This role is freelance-friendly, and you're welcome to combine it with other projects or commitments.
who will work on dashboard development and enhancement activities. The ideal candidate combines solid technical skills in Power BI with a strong sense of design and user experience, as well as the ability to work closely with stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver actionable insights.
Responsibilities:
- Design and improve interactive dashboards and reports with a focus on clarity and usability
- Build or enhance data models using information from existing and new data sources
- Apply UX best practices to create intuitive visual layouts
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into clear technical solutions
- Ensure consistency and maintainability of reporting assets
Requirements:
- Solid hands-on experience with Power BI development and data modeling
- Strong understanding of dashboard design and data visualization principles
- Experience with Power BI Dataflows for centralized data preparation
- Familiarity with Power BI administration, including managing report access and permissions
- Ability to connect and integrate with data sources such as Smartsheet
- Strong skills in writing and optimizing DAX calculations
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Power Query and M language for data transformation
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proactive in asking questions, clarifying expectations, and aligning on requirements
- Comfortable working with existing data models and integrating new data sources
