Behind it all is a team of ambitious VFXers united by collective ownership, a focus on growth, and a shared passion for solving complex problems.

About the Role

The Middle Office Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of the FX post-trade process. This position is responsible for managing the full trade lifecycle, maintaining accurate reconciliations, and supporting margin and settlement activities. Acting as a key control point between Trading, Back Office, and Risk, the analyst monitors trading activity, resolves discrepancies, and escalates issues promptly to safeguard operational and financial risk. The role also contributes to process improvements and automation initiatives while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

No prior work experience is necessary. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a mathematics, finance, or other numerical-related degree, strong analytical skills, and most importantly, a willingness to learn and develop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete post-trade lifecycle of FX derivatives, from execution through to settlement, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Maintain robust trade capture, reconciliation, and control processes across multiple systems to safeguard data integrity.

  • Monitor trading activity and operational flows, proactively identifying issues and escalating them to senior management when necessary.

  • Collaborate effectively with Trading, Back Office, and Technology teams to resolve trade discrepancies and ensure seamless processing.

  • Respond promptly to queries from Settlements and Payments teams, ensuring all transactions are reconciled daily and discrepancies are addressed without delay.

  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of structured FX products, market risk, liquidity risk, and related operational considerations.

  • Assist with process enhancements and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.

  • Ensure comprehensive documentation and strict adherence to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage trade reconciliation processes for both derivative and non-derivative transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Oversee margin call management for clients, including initial and variation margin, in line with contractual and regulatory obligations.

  • Support the Financial Risk Manager in conducting credit facility reviews and monitoring counterparty exposures.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Director of Trading, in line with the scope of the position, as reasonably required to support business and operational priorities.
