Description

Ready for More Than Just Servicing Accounts?

If you’ve built your career in Commercial Insurance and you’re ready for a role where your expertise, judgment, and attention to detail really matter, you may have just found it.

Bender Insurance Solutions is looking for an experienced Middle Market Account Manager to join our Commercial Lines team. This isn’t a “process the request and move on” kind of role. You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day management of your assigned accounts, use your insurance knowledge to identify needs and solve problems, and work closely with Producers to deliver an exceptional experience to our clients.

You’ll be an experienced point of contact for clients—helping them understand their coverage, navigating insurance needs, and making sure their insurance program is serviced accurately and proactively.

Please note this is a hybrid position for candidates within a 50 miles radius of Roseville, CA. You will work remote 3 days and work at our Roseville location 2 days of the week.

What You’ll Get to Do

You’ll manage a portfolio of commercial accounts while partnering closely with Producers, carrier partners, and the rest of the Bender team.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Managing the ongoing insurance and service needs of your assigned commercial clients
  • Building strong client relationships and meeting with clients to understand changes in their business and insurance needs
  • Partnering with Producers to execute renewal strategies, including preparing submissions, reviewing quotes, and developing client proposals
  • Reviewing policies, applications, endorsements, and audits for accuracy and identifying coverage gaps or opportunities that need attention
  • Helping clients navigate the claims process and coordinating with the appropriate partners when advocacy or additional support is needed
  • Proactively identifying coverage opportunities and ways to strengthen and round out client accounts
  • Working closely with carrier partners to negotiate, problem-solve, and keep client needs moving forward
  • Staying ahead of renewals, deadlines, client requests, and account activity while maintaining accurate documentation
  • Collaborating across Bender to connect clients with additional resources and solutions when appropriate
  • Sharing your knowledge and expertise with other members of the Commercial Lines team
  • Continuing to build your own expertise through industry education, professional development, and staying current on coverage and market changes
Why Bender?

We believe experienced insurance professionals should have the opportunity to use what they know, continue building their expertise, and be trusted to take ownership of their work.

At Bender, you’ll join a team that values relationships, collaboration, continuous learning, and doing right by our clients. And because we’re an employee-owned company, the work you do contributes to something you have a stake in.

If you love Commercial Insurance, enjoy solving problems, take pride in getting the details right, and want to be part of a team where your experience can make a difference, we’d love to meet you.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring to the Team

We know great candidates don’t always check every box. If this role sounds exciting but you don’t meet every qualification listed below, we still encourage you to apply. We’re interested in the experience, perspective, and strengths you could bring to our team.

For this role, we’re looking for someone with:

  • Significant Commercial Insurance experience, typically 5+ years, with strong knowledge of insurance coverage, concepts, and terminology
  • An active Property & Casualty insurance license in good standing
  • A demonstrated commitment to continued learning and professional development through an Associate or Bachelor’s degree, insurance designation (such as ACSR, ARM, CRM, CPCU, CIC, CISR, CISC, AIN, or similar), or comparable insurance education
  • Experience managing the day-to-day needs of commercial accounts, including renewals, coverage changes, policy review, claims support, and client service
  • The ability to work collaboratively with Producers to execute account and renewal strategies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for coverage details, accuracy, and potential gaps
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills—you can keep multiple accounts, renewals, deadlines, and client needs moving
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex insurance information clearly
  • The confidence to work directly with clients and carrier partners while knowing when to collaborate, escalate, or bring in additional expertise
  • A team-oriented mindset and willingness to share your knowledge with others
You’ll Probably Love This Role If...

You know Commercial Insurance and enjoy the challenge of keeping complex accounts running smoothly. You like digging into coverage, catching the details others might miss, solving problems, and making sure clients get the level of service they were promised.

You enjoy partnering with Producers and carrier partners, but you’re also confident owning your work and making decisions within your area of expertise. And you’re someone who never considers yourself “done” learning—whether that means pursuing a new designation, attending industry education, or simply getting better at your craft.

Sound like you? We’d love to hear from you.
