Details: 

  • Fully remote work
  • Selected candidates will be placed in a contract pool where they can claim temporary roles with Midwestern clients. Candidates may remain in the pool indefinitely. 
  • Short-term contracts, long-term contracts, contract-to-hire, and direct hiring opportunities available
  • Full-time hours during contracts
  • Opportunity to join the Midwestern team full-time

Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop, and test high-quality, maintainable, and scalable software solutions.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand and implement project requirements.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and unit-tested code adhering to established coding standards and best practices.
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges and bugs independently, seeking assistance when needed.
  • Communicate with clients as the point person on projects
  • Specific responsibilities may vary depending on the project and client needs.

Qualifications:

This Midwestern client is an automotive dealership management system (DMS) that uses the following tech stack:

  • .Net - different versions from 4.6.1 - dotnet core 8
  • NHibernate ORM (phasing out)
  • EntityFramework 6 and core
  • Angular 12+
  • AWS Lambda
  • AWS EC2
  • SQL Server (in an ECS instance)
  • Octopus Deploy
  • Azure Dev Ops Repos
  • JIRA
  • Terraform
  • NUnit
  • Kendo UI
  • Dev Express

Nice-to-Have Domain Knowledge:

  • Automotive dealership process knowledge: leads, sales, CRM, service, repair orders, etc
  • Business accounting knowledge
  • OEM experience (Ford, GM, etc)

Personal Skills

  • Peer and client conversationalist
  • Advanced ability to communicate with humans of all types 
  • Full-time developer and game-changer
  • Writing and editing skills for quality control purposes
  • Excellent organizational skills/time management
  • Ability and desire to continually learn and grow and to help others
  • Must be able to communicate effectively written and verbally in English.

Our hiring process

We use a 3-step process.
