BIG DATA ENGINEER @ CAPCO - WHAT TO EXPECT
- You will work on engaging projects with some of the largest banks in the world, on projects that will transform the financial services industry.
- You’ll be part of digital engineering team that develop new and enhance existing financial and data solutions, having the opportunity to work on exciting greenfield projects as well as on established Tier1 bank applications adopted by millions of users.
- You’ll be involved in digital and data transformation processes through a continuous delivery model.
- You will work on automating and optimizing data engineering processes, develop robust and fault tolerant data solutions and enhancing security standards both on cloud and on-premise deployments.
- You’ll be able to work across different data, cloud and messaging technology stacks.
- You’ll have an opportunity to learn and work with specialized data and cloud technologies to widen the skill set.
Key Responsibilities:
- Join us in designing, implementing, and managing scalable data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform services like BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage, and DataProc. We can't wait to see your creativity in action!
- Help us build and optimize data workflows using SQL, NoSQL databases, and APIs. Your expertise will make a real difference!
- Collaborate with our amazing cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure our data infrastructure aligns with our broader business objectives. Together, we can achieve great things!
- Write efficient and maintainable code in Python for data processing and integration tasks. Your coding skills will shine here!
- Be a problem-solver by troubleshooting and resolving issues related to data pipelines, databases, and cloud services. We value your insights!
- Help us ensure data quality, reliability, and security throughout the data pipeline lifecycle. Your attention to detail is crucial!
- Actively contribute to the design of new systems and maintain or upgrade existing data infrastructure. Your innovative ideas will help us grow!
- Bring your advanced knowledge of key security technologies, such as TLS, OAuth, and Encryption, to contribute to our security designs. We appreciate your expertise!
- Support our internal Capco capabilities by sharing your insights and experiences. Your contributions are what make our team strong!
- Min. 3-7 years of experience in data engineering
- Experience in banking environment is highly appreciated
- Experience or knowledge with Google Cloud Platform (preffered) or any other cloud would be great
- Strong proficiency in Scala programming for data engineering tasks.
- Proven experience working with Spark, Hadoop, SQL
- Solid understanding of building and maintaining data pipelines using APIs.
- Knowledge of data pipeline orchestration and optimization techniques.
- Experience working with large-scale data sets and cloud-based data storage systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
- Problem solver, open-minded, can-do attitude
- Excellent communication in English (verbal and written)
- Min. Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related topic
