As we prepare to open our newest location in Rapid City, we’re looking for Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) who are passionate about practicing high-quality emergency medicine while helping build a culture centered around compassion, teamwork, accountability, and excellence.

Minimum Requirements:

Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications before being considered for an interview:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Eligible for unrestricted South Dakota licensure
  • Eligible for DEA registration and South Dakota controlled substance authority
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
  • 2 Years emergency Department, or comparable emergency medicine experience
  • Comfortable evaluating, stabilizing, and treating emergency patients within approved clinical privileges
  • Ability to successfully meet all Exceptional Community Hospital credentialing, privileging, payer enrollment, background screening, and compliance requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Emergency Medicine experience
  • PALS and ATLS certification
  • Experience performing emergency procedures consistent with granted privileges
  • Strong independent clinical judgment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to concierge-level patient care and exceptional customer service

Position Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, assess, diagnose, and treat emergency department patients within approved clinical privileges
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing
  • Perform approved procedures consistent with granted privileges
  • Collaborate closely with Emergency Medicine Physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary departments
  • Maintain complete, timely, and accurate medical documentation
  • Deliver compassionate, efficient, patient-centered care that reflects Exceptional Community Hospital’s commitment to concierge-level service
