The Boeing Company is seeking an Airworthiness & Regulatory Certification Engineer to join the International Type Validation Team within Regulatory Administration and Airworthiness in Everett, WA.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid-Level (Level 3) and Senior (Level 4) Airworthiness & Regulatory Certification Engineer.
This key role will support the compliance of International Type Validation for production programs. As a crucial member of this team, you will collaborate with the Federal Aviation Administration and regulators worldwide to validate Boeing Commercial aircraft. This position offers a chance to make a significant global impact and contribute to Boeing's extensive international presence. You'll be responsible for coordinating with global regulators, addressing technical challenges related to Type Validation, and preparing technical applications for regulatory authorities. This role provides excellent opportunities for professional growth and development, allowing you to tackle high-impact challenges and gain valuable knowledge in international validation.
A successful candidate should be prepared to travel internationally up to 10% of the time for meetings with regulatory authorities. They will also have certification experience as well as experience in the development and execution of project and process planning, implementing policies and procedures.
We are seeking a high-performing individual contributor who is interested in developing Lead experience or a current Team Lead seeking to expand their breadth by working with global regulators in Commercial Aviation.
Primary responsibilities:
  • Collaborates and coordinate with the Federal Aviation Administration and foreign regulatory agencies to successfully execute international type validation projects.
  • Navigates through various regulatory processes to identify effective solutions for complex problems, while providing guidance to all airplane programs.
  • Ensures regulator actions are successfully captured, implemented, and closed in a timely manner
  • Communicates airplane validation risks across all models effectively.
  • Defines and communicate validation task priorities to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leads and facilitate discussions with the FAA, foreign regulatory agencies, and airplane program leaders
  • Integrates with airplane programs to incorporate international regulator requirements into technical applications.
  • Drafts technical applications to support type validation

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
  • Level 3: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Able and willing to take ownership of work activities to ensure they are completed accurately and efficiently
  • Ability to travel 10-20% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
  • Level 4: 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in presenting data to customers, suppliers, and program and site leaders.
  • Experience collecting data from multiple sources, performing analysis and presenting data
  • Experience in FAA certification or airworthiness
  • Experience working with Boeing ODA E-UM and I-UM resources
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers and partners
  • Experience implementing processes and standards compliant with airplane certification standards and/or FAA certification standards

Summary Pay Range:
  • Mid-Level (Level 3): $114,750 - $155,250
  • Lead (Level 4): $141,100 - $190,900
