Key Responsibilities
Systems & Server Administration
- Maintain and upgrade systems to ensure peak performance and reliability.
- Install, configure, and maintain server hardware, operating systems, and applications.
- Administer VMware, Windows, AWS, MS Azure, Microsoft 365 and Linux/Unix environments.
- Manage Active Directory and Group Policy Objects to streamline administration.
- Conduct IT SOP and security assessments for internal and client environments.
- Implement and enforce robust IT Operations and network security measures and policies.
- Monitor network performance, identify vulnerabilities, and perform proactive maintenance.
- Configure and maintain network components, including Cisco, Brocade (Ruckus), and Aruba devices.
- Support LAN connectivity and troubleshoot routing, switching, wireless, and VoIP systems.
- Standardize and deploy OS images for consistency and efficiency.
- Support disaster recovery strategies and ensure reliable backup solutions.
- Provide application support for MEC’s internal systems and client platforms.
- Document configurations, procedures, and diagrams using Visio, SmartDraw, Lucidchart, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Manage tasks and service requests via Atlassian Jira, Trello, Asana, and Monday.
- Rack configuration, wiring, power, and cooling management.

- Manage Helpdesk Support/Ticket System
- Manage Asset Management System, create Asset Reports
- Perform other IT-related tasks as directed by management.
- Manage System Backups
Qualifications
Experience & Technical Skills
- 6+ years in a network administration role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (Windows 7–11, Windows Server 2008–2022).
- Proficiency with infrastructure services: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, RDS, Group Policies.
- 5+ years managing MS Azure Cloud and MS Office 365 (OneDrive, SharePoint).
- 4+ years managing medium-sized Amazon AWS environments.
- 5+ years managing Hyper-V, VMware ESXi and vCenter.
- Hands-on experience with network equipment configuration and maintenance.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery, backup strategies, and monitoring methodologies.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, including forward and reverse-chain analysis.
Education & Certifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- Active CISSP or CCNA certification is a plus.
- Active Microsoft Certifications are a plus.
- Active Amazon AWS Certifications are a plus
