The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level Linux Administrator to join the team in Huntsville, AL.
Step into the role of Mid-Level Linux Administrator, where you will play a vital role in supporting multiple programs within the Boeing Information Digital Technology and Security (IDT&S) organization. Position Responsibilities:

• Performs system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture
• Provides problem resolution and technical support for delivery systems
• Provides support for the design, validation and configuration management of computing delivery systems
• Administers users system access and works to protect information to meet security requirements
• Monitors system performance to support capacity planning, backup and disaster recovery planning

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Active CompTIA Security+ DoD Approved 8570/8140 Baseline Certification
• 3+ years of experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering current Linux versions
• 3+ years of experience with deploying, securing and supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems (RHEL5/6/7/8)
• 3+ years of experience with maintaining and configuring Active Directory (AD)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
• 3+ years of experience with a broad range of basic systems and application support
• 3+ years of experience with scripts to automate deployment and configuration of operating systems
• 3+ years of experience creating and maintaining multiple virtual servers based on VMware
• 3+ years of experience evaluating and effectively communicating system problems and resolution
• 3+ years of experience integrating security solutions (e.g. Splunk) into information systems

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $96,650 - $129,950
