We’re hiring a Java Developer to contribute to the maintenance and evolution of our systems in the Digital Fraud & Online Piracy squads. This role is ideal for developers who enjoy clean code, learn fast, and want to work in a high-impact, purpose-driven environment. You’ll be part of a collaborative, autonomous team that values continuous improvement, code quality, and solving real-world digital threats. A typical workday might include:
- Contributing to the stability and evolution of existing systems in the Digital Fraud & Online Piracy squads;
- Developing new features and improving our Java services;
- Collaborating on architectural discussions and helping define scalable solutions;
- Working with REST APIs, RabbitMQ, microservices, and infrastructure improvements;
- Supporting operations and troubleshooting product issues when necessary;
- Participating in code reviews and advocating for clean, maintainable code.
Indispensable Requirements:
- Fluency in Portuguese (our Engineering team primarily communicates in Portuguese);
- Technical proficiency in English (mainly reading/writing);
- Previous experience with Java development in production environments;
- We’re looking for a mid-level Java Developer—someone who can work with autonomy on daily tasks and collaborate effectively with their squad.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and REST APIs;
- Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and clean code practices;
- Experience with message queues, especially RabbitMQ;
- Cloud knowledge (preferably AWS).
Important Skills:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
- Experience with Spring Framework, JUnit, Maven, Docker, and Git;
- Basic knowledge of Python or Kotlin;
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and test-driven development is a plus.
