The Boeing Company is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Mid-Level Industrial Security Specialist to join the team in Herndon, VA.
Boeing is seeking an experienced Industrial Security Specialist to serve as a Program Security Officer (PMO) that will execute Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements.
The Industrial Security Specialist will be skilled at delivering initial and recurring briefings on critical program information, classification marking, safeguarding and destruction, Operations Security (OPSEC), physical and communications security while being adept at managing personnel and classified-material records to ensure data integrity, conducting inventories and reconciliation for accountability, and developing Concept of Operations (CONOPs) and procedures for handling, storing, and transporting proprietary materials.
You will also be a collaborative leader who coordinates across security teams, Boeing engineering and management, senior leadership, and United States (U.S.) Government customers to obtain contract approvals, security rulings, and authorized deviations.
Position Responsibilities:
- Ensuring media and equipment are maintained in compliance
- Identifying security deficiencies and recommending corrective actions
- Conducting Administrative Inquiries on personnel, processes, and situations in accordance with established procedures to assess non-compliance levels with government and company regulations
- Supporting the Communication Security (COMSEC) team as needed
- Protecting government, intellectual property, third-party, and company information from unauthorized disclosure through the development, implementation, and administration of an Operational Security program, including security education, procedures, and physical controls for less complex programs
- Ensuring Personnel Security is in compliance by managing databases, reviewing files, conducting interviews, submitting documentation to customers, and scheduling briefings to facilitate individual security clearances and access for standard customer requirements
- Conducting security awareness training and education programs (e.g., briefings, bulletins, visual reminders) to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property, and information
- Performing Physical Security duties within Boeing facilities, including completing fixed/closed facility checklists, surveying areas, and reviewing and approving facility drawings for new or remodeled classified areas to ensure compliance with company and government regulations
- Participating in enterprise Integrated Product Team (IPT) sub or task teams as requested
- Performing Personnel Security processes to assist in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or requires candidate to have been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years
- 3+ years of experience in Industrial Security
- 3+ years of experience in Industrial Security, Facilities Security, Personnel Security, and/or Intelligence in a cleared environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 5+ years of experience in Industrial Security
- Experience working Industrial Security in the intelligence community
