Job Summary
StoryBrand is looking for a software engineer who can help build and design software solutions to real-world problems, and define the next generation of StoryBrand technical infrastructure.
This role is perfect for a passionate engineer with a genuine interest in building beautiful and reusable software. We are looking for someone who strives to create clean, testable, and efficient software that provides a positive experience to both end-users and other developers alike. Our software suite includes landing pages, course platforms, AI tools, online assessments, payment processing, and data analytics, creating a cohesive system to support various business needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Contribute in a meaningful way to StoryBrand’s technical infrastructure
- Write readable and maintainable software that solves real problems for our customers
- Contribute to planning discussions for technical work
- Help maintain and improve existing codebases
- Help define and improve technical processes over time
- Develop yourself and your skillset
- Always be learning, always be growing

We are building Laravel applications with React front ends. We also support a few Wordpress installs using custom themes.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- PHP/Laravel
- React
- MySQL
- Familiarity with OpenAI is a big plus
- Kubernetes familiarity is a big plus
- Can describe the importance of clean, legible, and testable code
- Docker
- Capable of designing flexible software solutions that can be changed and maintained over time
- Constant communication and collaboration with teammates
- Ability to learn and grow
