Mid-Level Business Operations Specialist

Defense, Space, and Security, (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers' division is hiring a Mid-Level Business Operations Specialist (Level 3) to bring more efficiency and predictability to our Programs through data-driven business disciplines. This role will be based in Tukwila, WA.

Position responsibilities:

  • Assists in the operationalizing, implementing and integrating of program business requirements
  • Assists in the development and integration of programs, plans, strategies and processes to meet business goals
  • Supports the coordination and clarifies the analysis with business partners to validate results and determine scope to meet long range business goals and develop business case
  • Supports the coordination of the commitments with internal and external organizations to fulfill strategies
  • Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case.
  • Presents plans to executive leadership to gain approval and provides implementation direction once approved
  • Collects, organizes and provides data according to established processes within the management system to maintain status of programs, customer and supplier commitments and compliance
  • Utilizes the management systems, processes, and data analytics to provide insights on performance to committed plans
  • Utilizes data analytics to forecast performance to committed plans and consults with leaders on strategic opportunities
  • Ensures follow up action for issue resolution
  • Develops and uses collaborative relationships within and outside the organization to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals
  • Knowledgeable of how the business and organization operates; knowledgeable of policies, practices, trends, and information affecting the business and organization
  • Ability to understand the big picture and the interrelationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area
  • Assists in acquiring resources for projects and processes, and collaborates on process improvements


This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.  (Minimum of 3 days on-site)

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience collecting, interpreting data, and managing high level projects for Executives or Senior Leadership
  • 3+ years of experience developing and presenting recommendations to executive level management
  • 3+ years of experience with business integration
     

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • PMP Certified or experience with Boeing's Program Management Best Practices or equivalent program/project management experience
  • Experience developing and integrating strategic projects, plans, and initiatives to meet business goals

Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

This position is for 1st shift.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $93,500 - $126,500.
