MicroStrategy Cloud Admin

About the Role

Synechron is looking for an experienced MicroStrategy Administrator with strong hands‑on expertise in cloud-based deployments, platform management, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate should have prior experience managing MicroStrategy environments on AWS, Azure, or GCP and be comfortable working closely with development, analytics, and business teams to ensure a seamless BI ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Deployment & Configuration

• Deploy, configure, and administer MicroStrategy Intelligence Server, Web, Mobile, and related components in cloud environments.
• Set up environments across development, testing, and production landscapes.
• Configure system parameters, monitoring tools, clustering, and security settings based on best practices.

System Administration & Maintenance

• Monitor platform performance, identify bottlenecks, and ensure high availability, stability, and reliability.
• Perform routine maintenance including patching, upgrades, backups, and recovery operations.
• Manage user accounts, roles, privileges, and security filters with strong governance focus.
• Maintain metadata consistency and validate data connectivity across sources.

Cloud Management

• Administer and maintain MicroStrategy platforms hosted on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Implement cloud best practices including scalability, cost optimization, and resource management.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure health, storage, networking, and performance dashboards.

Collaboration & Support

• Partner with development, analytics, and reporting teams to support dashboard creation, schema updates, and project rollouts.
• Troubleshoot platform issues, resolve incidents, and provide timely support to business users.
• Assist teams in migrating workloads to cloud environments or upgrading to newer versions of MicroStrategy.

Performance Optimization

• Analyze performance metrics, tune server configurations, and optimize data access strategies.
• Implement caching, distribution services, and workload balancing to enhance throughput.

Required Technical Skills

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with MicroStrategy Administration (Intelligence Server, Web, Mobile, Developer).
• Experience deploying and managing MicroStrategy in cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP).
• Good understanding of cloud networking, storage, identity management, and security.
• Knowledge of SQL, metadata layers, cubes, and data models.
• Experience with scheduling, caching, clustering, and project configuration.
