Role Description

The Inviso Microsoft Security AI Ranger is a customer and partner-facing technical specialist responsible for helping organizations across Japan adopt Microsoft solutions for secure productivity. This role combines deep technical credibility in Microsoft Security, particularly Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Purview, with the ability to deliver Copilot for Microsoft 365 readiness and adoption conversations.

The Security AI Ranger partners with customers, distributors, SI partners, MSPs, resellers, and Microsoft stakeholders to drive Secure AI adoption across SMB and mid-market segments. The role focuses on building partner capability, supporting customer-facing technical engagements, and accelerating the adoption of secure AI scenarios through scalable enablement and technical guidance.

This is a full-time remote role based in Japan for candidates currently residing in Tokyo, Nagoya, or Osaka. Tokyo is preferred, though candidates located in Nagoya and Osaka will also be considered.

Technical Capabilities

• Hands-on experience or strong foundational knowledge in Microsoft Security, especially:
  • Microsoft Defender
  • Microsoft Purview
• Ability to lead deeper technical security conversations, with a growth path toward stronger L300–400 capability in Secure AI scenarios.
• Ability to deliver L100–200 Copilot for Microsoft 365 conversations, briefings, demonstrations, or readiness workshops.
  • Strong understanding of:

  • Secure AI readiness
• Ability to translate customer requirements into practical solution paths aligned with Microsoft’s Secure AI approach.

Consulting & Communication Skills

• Fluent Japanese (native/business professional level) is required.
• Moderate English proficiency is preferred but not required.
• Strong presentation, workshop facilitation, and customer engagement skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Ability to support scalable partner enablement and customer adoption initiatives.

  • Equivalent Microsoft Security or Copilot certification pathways

Success Criteria

Security AI Ranger success is measured through partner enablement effectiveness, customer engagement quality, Secure AI adoption impact, and the successful acceleration of Microsoft Security and Copilot opportunities across Japan. This role is accountable for building technical trust with customers and partners, enabling scalable adoption motions, and supporting the transition from awareness to deployment readiness.

Success includes:

• Driving partner capability and solution readiness across Japan.
• Supporting secure adoption of Copilot for Microsoft 365.
• Helping customers align security, compliance, governance, and AI strategies.

• Providing actionable feedback to improve Secure AI messaging and execution.

Key Responsibilities

Security Depth and Technical Execution

• Lead partner and customer-facing technical engagements across Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Purview.
• Deliver L300–400 technical discussions in areas such as:
• Threat protection
• Information protection
• Data governance
• Compliance
• Secure AI readiness
• Conduct technical workshops, solution mapping sessions, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept support.
• Identify and remove technical blockers while building confidence in Microsoft solutions.
• Translate customer requirements into practical solution paths aligned with Microsoft’s Secure AI approach.

Copilot for Microsoft 365 Readiness and Enablement

• Deliver L100–200 sessions in Japanese covering:
  • Copilot for Microsoft 365 business value
  • Use cases
  • Readiness requirements
  • Adoption considerations
  • Governance fundamentals
  • Introductory demonstrations
• Help customers and partners understand the relationship between:
  • Copilot adoption
  • Security
  • Compliance
  • Data protection
  • Information governance
• Position Copilot as a part of a secure Microsoft 365 journey rather than a standalone productivity solution.

Partner Enablement and Pre-Sales Support

• Work with distributors, system integrators, managed service providers, and resellers throughout Japan.
• Build technical capability and improve solution readiness across partner organizations.
• Support partner enablement and pre-sales activities through:
  • Technical guidance
  • Solution alignment
  • Follow-up actions
• Contribute reusable assets, engagement approaches, and field best practices that partners can scale.

Cross-Team Collaboration

• Collaborate with Microsoft sales, partner, and technical stakeholders.
• Support progression from awareness to technical validation and deployment readiness.
• Share field feedback to improve:
• Messaging
• Asset quality
• Secure AI execution
• Adapt technical content and engagement approaches to local market expectations and customer requirements.
