Job Description

The Microsoft Lifecycle Specialist owns the operational administration of Wavenet’s Microsoft customer estate from accepted order through provisioning, in-life changes, renewal and offboarding. The role manages Microsoft licensing, tenant and partner records, renewal governance, incentives, programme administration, reporting and lifecycle exceptions.

The role sits within Solutions and Strategy and is primarily internal-facing. It works alongside Microsoft Growth & Success and other internal teams but does not own customer success, sales or ongoing account relationships. Limited customer interaction may be required to resolve specific provisioning, tenant, licensing or administrative matters.

Primary Accountability

Own the operational governance of Wavenet’s Microsoft customer estate from receipt of an accepted fulfilment instruction through onboarding, provisioning, in-life administration, renewal and offboarding.

Responsibilities include:

  • Customer Onboarding & Tenant Administration

  • Accept validated fulfilment instructions from the Orders Desk and execute onboarding tasks.

  • Establish and maintain accurate customer tenant, ownership, partner-association and delegated-administration records.

  • Support approved tenant changes, migrations, mergers and acquisitions.

  • Licensing Lifecycle Management

  • Provision Microsoft licences and subscriptions following validated instructions from the Orders Desk.

  • Administer approved additions, changes, renewals, reductions and cancellations.

  • Maintain accurate subscription records and communicate completed changes to billing and finance.

  • Investigate licensing or billing discrepancies using accurate lifecycle records.

  • Analyse estate and usage data to provide licensing optimisation and white-space insights to Customer Success Managers and Account Managers.

  • Offboarding and Cessation

  • Execute approved cancellations and licence reductions.

  • Coordinate removal of delegated administration and partner associations where appropriate.

  • Maintain accurate offboarding records and escalate contractual, billing, data-retention or service-continuity risks.

  • Renewal Management

  • Maintain accurate renewal schedules and provide timely renewal information to Customer Success Managers and Account Managers.

  • Administer approved renewals and minimise unintended attrition through proactive notification and effective governance.

  • Identify and escalate renewal risks, exceptions and data issues.

  • Microsoft Partner Programmes and Incentives

  • Maintain Partner Centre data and administer CPOR, PAL and other Microsoft partner associations.

  • Track Microsoft incentives, rebates, co-op funding and customer eligibility, identifying missed opportunities.

  • Coordinate submissions, evidence and reporting for Microsoft incentives, audits, designations and specialisations.

  • Monitor capability score and partner programme compliance requirements.

  • Usage and Lifecycle Reporting

  • Produce Microsoft licensing, usage and consumption reporting across Microsoft 365, Copilot and Azure.

  • Provide lifecycle, adoption and estate insights to Customer Success Managers and Account Managers.

  • Administer agreed Microsoft-funded adoption programmes.

  • Lifecycle Governance and Improvement

  • Maintain clear lifecycle processes, operational controls and audit records.

  • Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve or automate lifecycle administration.

  • Work with relevant internal teams to reduce errors, delays and manual intervention

What We Do

The Daisy Group was founded by current Chairman Matthew Riley in 2001. Over the last two decades Daisy has developed through a combination of organic and acquisitive growth to be one of the largest providers of communications, IT and cloud services across the UK and internationally. 2018 saw key change within the Group as four independent businesses were established to better serve the needs of direct customers and indirect partners. Daisy Communications and Daisy Corporate Services remained unchanged. The most significant change saw the merger of the Group’s three channel-serving businesses (formerly known as Daisy Wholesale, Daisy Distribution and Daisy Worldwide) under a new single brand, Digital Wholesale Solutions. The Daisy Partner Services business also began to operate independently under the new name of Allvotec. In March 2021 private equity fund Inflexion invested in the Digital Wholesale Solutions business, which was demerged from and left the Daisy Group. Today the Daisy Group includes Daisy Communications serving the needs of small to medium businesses and Daisy Corporate Services for the mid to enterprise market – both remain significant providers for UK businesses, with portfolios spanning Lines & Calls, Mobile and Connectivity, right through to Unified Communications, Business Continuity and Cloud & Hosting and Security.
