Our Microsoft team is at an inflection point of growth and we are looking for a Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer to join us on this exciting journey. We are seeking a skilled C/AL and AL Developer to join our delivery team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining AL extensions that enhance Business Central functionality, ensuring alignment with modern development practices and cloud-first architecture.
About the role:- Develop and maintain AL extensions for Microsoft Business Central, ensuring modularity and upgrade compatibility.
- Working with Dynamics NAV to develop new functionality using C/AL, while clients prepare for upgrade to Dynamics 365 Business Central Online.
- Collaborate with Functional Consultants, Solution Architects, and Project Managers.
- Work closely with the Lead consultant to translate functional design specification into technical designs.
- Build integrations between Business Central and third-party systems using file-based integrations, APIs, and Azure functions (including AIS)
- Maintain best practice development standards based on clean, well-documented code and technical documentation for customisations and integrations.
- Support and participate in quality assurance during projects and support various testing activities.
- Monitor and optimise system performance through code and solution architecture.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and deployment processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Stay current with Business Central platform and development releases/roadmap.
We are looking for a friendly detail-oriented problem-solver with a passion for technology and business optimisation. You should have excellent communication skills, an inquisitive nature, and strong technical and analytical abilities. You will be part of a collaborative team that values new ideas and works together to solve complex business problems.
- Proven experience developing in C/AL and AL for Dynamics NAV and Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Strong understanding of Business Central architecture, including object ranges, licensing, and extension management.
- Extensive experience of working with Git source control and best practice code review and testing.
- Experience of working with various Dynamics 365 Business Central apps including Continia and Tasklet.
- Understanding of ERP processes such as finance, supply chain, projects and manufacturing.
- Knowledge of SQL Server and database management
- Experience of working with NAV server configuration, including service tier setup and user management
- Ideally you will have experience in upgrading various Dynamics NAV versions to Dynamics Business Central Online
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Masters or Certification in relevant fields.
