Trade Desk Operations Manager

Summary: Reporting to Cboe Europe BV President and Cboe Europe Group Trade Desk Director, this permanent full-time position is responsible for managing all day-to-day operational activities across Cboe Europe B.V. This is an exciting position for the successful candidate to be at the forefront in the expansion of Cboe Europe B.V. 

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands – Full time; 40 hours over 5 days a week 

Responsibilities 

• Manage the Trade Desk and operational functions for Cboe Europe B.V. 

• Be a member of the Cboe Europe B.V. Board of Directors and management team by: 

• Providing subject matter expertise and perspective pertaining to technology / operations strategic initiatives and issues in board and management meetings. 

• Preparing material (e.g. presentations, documents) related to technology / operations matters for discussion in board and management meetings, in addition to confidently presenting such materials. 

• Representing Cboe Europe B.V in external meetings with regulators and clients on the technical / operational aspects of exchange offerings including new products and projects. 

• Collating metrics and other supporting data (e.g. key performance indicators, incident management data) to support discussions in various forums and be able to provide narrative to help with the interpretation of such data. 

• Responsible for Incident Management, Change and Release Management, Identity and Access Management. 

• Ensure adherence to local and Group Policies and Procedures in the technical and operational areas. 

• Assist and oversee the operations team with inbound/outbound communications to resolve Participant problems to provide first level and first-class support answering questions and resolving Participant technical issues. 

• Escalation point for operational issues, outages, participant issues and be the Cboe expert of operational procedures.  

• Coordinate continuous communication between Management, Trade Desk, Development, NOC, Security, Sales, Compliance and Market Surveillance. 

• Monitor system dashboard proactively during operational hours and oversee off hour’s escalation process. 

• Document issue resolution and Participant communication. 

• Conduct annual reviews with direct reports. 

Requirements 

• Equivalent of Bachelor’s degree. 

• Previous experience of Equities and/or Derivatives products. 

• Previous experience of working in a similar role and industry.  

• Familiarity with multiple hardware/software development environments, including Linux and MS Windows variants 

• Highly developed understanding of Equities and/or Derivative market structure. 

• Strong management abilities while working well as a team with an emphasis on troubleshooting, problem-solving and customer service skills. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
