Position: MES Solution Architect
Organization Overview: Manufacturing and Quality IT (MQ IT) team is introducing the Next Generation Manufacturing Execution System (NG MES) for drug product manufacturing facilities globally.
Responsibilities:
Lead the deployment of the NG MES Solution (MQuEST) to a given site by driving the design, build, test, and validation of the electronic batch records following, in accordance with the global program's standards and delivery process. Additionally, manage the configuration required to integrate NG MES with other systems and applications necessary for deliver medicine delivery.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
- Drive ideation and implementation of innovative solutions to accelerate the delivery of NG MES.
- Partner with Technical Services & Manufacturing Technology (TS/MS) and Process Engineering teams to define and configure recipes to support manufacturing processes.
- Partner closely with Site leaders / Change Management SMEs at the sites to develop and execute operational readiness plans, change management, and transition plans that enable the seamless rollout and adoption of the NG MES solution.
- Collaborate with other SMEs of other platforms that integrate with the NG MES solution to deliver robust scalable solutions and minimize disruption to sites as we roll out the NG MES solution
- Partner closely with Site IT Leaders / Support Team Leaders to coach / develop / upskill support teams to be able to support the NG MES platform.
- Engage in 10% program management, 30% analysis, and 60% technical work.
Basic Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years as an IT Business Integrator or IT Project Leader in Life Science Manufacturing.
- Deep understanding of MES (preferably PharmaSuite), GMP requirements, and Computer System Validation processes.
- Strong communication skills with business and IT experts.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent years of experience.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Experience working globally, influencing without authority, and resolving complex issues.
- Learning agility, subject matter expertise in Life Sciences.
- Knowledge of Business Process development, SOPs, Governance Processes, and Program Management.
- Risk-based decision making, diverse communication methods, and strong account management skills.
Additional Information:
- Position locations: Indianapolis, Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham, Alcobendas, Puerto Rico, Sesto, or Fegersheim.
- Occasional off-hours and weekend work expected.
- 10-15% domestic/international travel required.
