Lilly has embarked on a very broad Digital Transformation journey in the Manufacturing & Supply Chain space with a goal to modernize and digitize operations in Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Storage and Distribution of our products.
The scope of Supply chain solutions is broad, and the role will contribute to the elaboration of the multi-year implementation programs within the Manufacturing and Quality (M&Q) IDS organization.
Position Brand Description:
This Dedicated Manufacturing & Quality Information Digital Solutions (M&Q IDS) position will be part of the Global API MES Team. The Global API MES team is purposed to deliver and support Manufacturing Execution Systems through championing standardization of business processes and common Syncade (Software by Emerson) modules that enable manufacturing sites to deliver world-class performance.
- Managing Syncade software release lifecycle & processes
- Able to create complex recipes
- Managing application regression testing
- Global object development and management
- Escalation point for Tier 2/3 support (monitoring platform, DB, system health, troubleshooting servers, resolving network/firewall issues etc.)
Key Objectives & Responsibilities:
- Configure & deploy MES software application and system.
- Manage the development of production recipes and devising automation solutions that improve productivity, business operations and safety/quality standards.
- Manage Manufacturing Execution Systems and Process Data Historians Implementation, Maintenance and Troubleshooting.
- Validate new systems and changes to existing systems.
- Develop, revise and review SOPs as needed.
- Audit and update existing system documentation and procedures
- Enables common processes across the sites such as Application recipe Behaviors, Global Components and Work Instructions, build a repository for common RA components EWI, Operations.
- Proactively influence the business towards replication & standardization to drive value and implement the appropriate technical solutions
- Drive new releases & hot fixes technical assessments and related interoperability test with Syncade
- Influence life cycle decisions. Coordinate & manage LCM processes. Executes \ facilitates complex technical upgrades
- Coordinate with Business System Integrators to understand the functional requirements/business processes to evaluate and translate functional requirements into technical solutions
- Ability to problem solving and work through manufacturing situations. Escalates as appropriate
- Ensure project and/or validation documentation is maintained during lifecycle & release management
- Find innovative ways to leverage Syncade to drive business value
- Develops \ assists in the creation and maintenance of the interfaces with external systems
- Enhance Global Base Knowledge Library
- Identify areas of improvement in the automation code and/or electronic ticket/log to improve efficiency.
Basic Requirements
- 5-8 years of Syncade and PMX (or other MES) experience or relevant manufacturing experience
- Preferrable to have some experience in a MES system or environment
- Knowledge of S95 Architecture Model
- Some knowledge on Manufacturing IT applications
- General awareness and knowledge of security, and quality requirements (privacy & GxP)
- Understand Technical pieces of Syncade and the alignment of behaviors, should be able to modify existing recipes
- Assess impacts and perform regression testing, patch testing, integration testing
- Understand e-Mfg solutions interfaces with other ERP systems and LIMS Systems.
Education Requirements:
Engineering or a related field
Additional Preferences:
- Understanding of S88 Standard & control system
- Technical exposure to Syncade: Manufacturing Execution (or another MES) architecture
- Recipe Authoring - The ability to develop complex recipes from scratch will be an added advantage.
- Understanding of manufacturing
- Knowledge of data management concepts and practices
- Strong technical skills in T-SQL programming language
- Strong technical skill in VB script, C# or other common Microsoft programming languages
- Strong technical skill especially in Microsoft Server and SQL Server DBMS management
- Demonstrated learning agility both technically as well as in business processes and applications
- Demonstrated initiative to build relationships, work across diverse teams, learn new business processes, and identify opportunities
- Demonstrated ability to influence peers and business partners
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate, facilitate, and drive toward risk-based decision-making
- Ability to thrive in a complex, changing virtual environment with multiple manufacturing sites
