Reporting to the MEP Manager, the MEP Engineering Support Coordinator is responsible for supporting BSCGP MEP in Design, Pre-installation, Mechanical and Electrical (MEP) construction activities. This role will include coordination with vendors and subcontractors for Project-compliant design and construction process, deliverable, products, and material. The successful candidate will work with suppliers, subcontractors, and Engineer of Record (EOR) to expedite reviews, facilitating conflict and issue resolution. They are also expected to resolve conflicts with other construction departments.

Responsibilities
You will work with ACCIONA Infrastructure Canada’s team, including more senior Engineers and other team members on the Broadway Subway Project (BSP). You will be coordinating in a variety of functions related to the design and construction of a subway project. A few key involvement and responsibilities include:
- Be part of the MEP Design team and MEP Construction Support team.
- Monitor and collaborate MEP design submittals from vendors, suppliers and subcontractors for design packages, pre-installation and shop drawing, verification and validation record submission (PICO, test procedures, test reports) for review and comment internally and to the client.
- Supporting Interface with Systems and Integration Manager in collaborating with Designers for Non-systems to expedite approvals and resolve technical conflicts.
- Coordinate in tracking progress of MEP related Request for Information (RFI), Field Change Request (FCR), Design Change Notice (DCN), Systems and Field Modification Instruction (FMI) implementation and its record in Procore (Project Electronic document Management Systems). Follows up on documentation design approvals to avoid construction activity schedule impacts.
- Maintain and keep up to date Procore systems for Systems record documents.
- Provide support to users in accessing electronic information.
- Assist Systems configuration items and Quantity review and submission.
Required Skills and Competencies
- General understanding of Quality Management Systems and Systems process.
- Engineering or related degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience.
- Ability to read and understanding technical report, specification and design drawing and documents
- Demonstrated experience delivering high quality results to agreed budget and schedule
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Software
- Experience in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Revit, Procore, Aconex and ClearQuest will be considered as asset.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Well organized, self-starter
- Experience in Transit Instrumentation & control is a plus,
- Electrical or Telecommunications experience is a plus
