The Head of Strategic Marketing for Korea will work to ensure long term ASML business success through understanding of market and technology changes and ensuring current and future ASML products and strategy are aligned to meet Customer requirements.
Context of the position
The Corporate marketing group provides customer and external insights that guide ASML’s overall product portfolio. This sector works closely together with the business lines (product owners) and the customer teams.
Senior Strategic Marketing Strategist reports directly to the Head of Global Customer Strategic Marketing and interfaces internally with Account Management, Business Lines, Customer Support (Application Business Support), etc. and externally with the technical & management interfaces at the customer.
Role and responsibilities
• Coordinate and develop DRAM, NAND, and emerging memory marketing strategies in Korea and with teams in the rest of the world
• Support aligning long-term customer roadmaps and node requirements (5-10 years or more in the future) with ASML solutions addressing both technical performance and cost
• Develop an in-depth understanding of customer business objectives, business model, and targets and translate this into impact for ASML
• Align Customer capacity scenarios to end market demand and align market opportunity for new and installed systems extending the horizon beyond account team’s visibility including disruptive factors beyond market driven demand.
• Identify, investigate and strategize the impact of market and technology developments on ASML’s future business and opportunities. Ensure embedding in ASML’s corporate strategy.
• Develop and align competition analysis and competitive positioning strategy
• Develop and align Customer specific value and ROI analysis
• Drive voice of Customer in ASML long-term strategy process
• Work closely together with customer teams, business lines, and corporate strategy
• Align insights over multiple regions and assess impact to ASML long-term strategy and report these findings to executive stakeholders up to, and including, Board of Management
In this position you will be driving influence across broad business processes within ASML.
Your sphere of influence includes among others ;
- Product positioning and value recognition at customers within specific region / account focus in addition to influencing ASML’s product portfolio and corporate strategy
- Roadmap alignment with Customers on existing and future products and patterning processes
- Long-term strategy for ASML to understand and forecast future memory trends
Education and experience
• MSc or PhD in Engineering or Physical Science; MBA desirable
• Extensive industry experience in semiconductor processing, design, or commercial roles
• Recognized industry professional with broad understanding of semiconductor technology and markets
• Experience of Lithography systems and customer application strongly preferred.
• Experience in strategic planning processes
• Marketing or commercial experience in semiconductors. Must be able to balance technical and business requirements

Travel expected ~25%.
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
