DISCOVERY Children’s Museum, based in Las Vegas, Nevada, is dedicated to the educational enrichment of children through hands-on, interactive learning. Position Description:
The Membership Coordinator is responsible for processing Museum memberships, answering and fielding phone calls, maintaining member relationships and communications, and data entry. This position reports to the Director of Visitor Services, with a primary focus on executing the membership application process. Responsibilities include marketing, renewal, and sales of memberships. This position will require executing and following internal controls and Museum financial handling practices, as well as driving membership revenue.
Job Responsibilities:
Membership Sales

Provides exceptional service to members at all times; ensures workspaces are clean and follows all department and company policies.

Builds strong relationships with members through regular communication and solicitation of feedback.

Collaborates with Visitor Services leadership to train cashiers and floor staff on membership sales and processing.

Promotes and manages membership packages through phone, digital, and in-person channels.

Consistently meets or exceeds membership sales and renewal revenue goals.

Demonstrates best practices and professionalism when cashiering, as needed.

Supports the monthly membership renewal process.

Maintains accurate and up-to-date member records with a strong attention to detail and minimal errors.

Plans and oversees the successful execution of all member events.

Represents the museum at select outreach events to promote memberships in the community.
Interdepartmental Communication

Acts as a liaison between Visitor Services and the sales office to ensure clear communication about membership promotions and accurate data entry.

Keeps teams informed by documenting and sharing member-related updates, sales incentives, and ongoing needs.

Supports the overall team by maintaining professionalism, positively representing the DISCOVERY Children’s Museum brand, and using effective communication.

Upholds ethical standards in all business interactions and maintains confidentiality of member records.

Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales or customer service.

High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred.

Demonstrates professionalism and a strong work ethic.

Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

Reliable and punctual, with a strong attendance record.

Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.

Capable of multitasking effectively in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
Schedule:

Wednesday – Saturday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Sunday : 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Compensation:
Starting at $19.00/hour+ Depending on Experience

What We Do
DISCOVERY Children’s Museum is a nonprofit interactive children’s museum in Las Vegas, Nevada. It provides a vibrant, engaging environment where children and families learn through exhibits and programs, with experiences designed to spark curiosity and foster a lifelong love of learning. Originally the Lied Discovery Children’s Museum, it opened in 1990 as part of a downtown Las Vegas library complex and continues serving Southern Nevada.
