Media Strategist, Integrated Media Strategy. BSSP is looking for a candidate who is relentlessly curious, passionate about advertising, riveted by evolving consumer media consumption patterns, creative, analytical, collaborative, and detail-oriented. While this role is working all channels of media, we are looking for a strong digital background (especially in search).

What you will do:

  • OVERALL: The overall responsibility of the role is to lead media planning campaigns designed to achieve specific media objectives. That includes: 
  • Providing strategic thought leadership around strategies, and budget allocation to select media channels to achieve media objectives. Collaborating with clients to refine media objectives & plans.Purchasing media and handling relations with media vendors. Optimizing campaign to achieve the best performance. Reporting results to clients 

  • SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Documentation: Master of all client and internal documentation with 100% accuracy, including (but not limited to) client flowcharts, tactical excel, media authorization and partner IOsMaintaining accurate records of media plans, flowcharts, budgets, MAF’s and campaign performance
  • Campaign ManagementOversees flawless campaign set-up and execution (Prisma IO’s, Tune-In Sheets, tagging/trafficking, launch memos)Implement media plans, including issuing insertion orders, entering buys into the system, creating spec sheets, etc.Monitoring media campaigns to ensure they are pacing and performing,making optimizations as needed
  • Reporting: Owns all reporting with strong insight development that delivers on client needs. That includes: Analyzing and presenting campaign performance to clients or internal stakeholders. Responsible for providing insights and recommendations for future campaigns based on data analysis.
  • Media Project Management & Strategy:Staying updated with industry trends, emerging media platforms, and technological advancements that can impact media planning strategies and grow clients’ business. Use research resources to create strong target audience profiles, competitive insight, and marketplace opportunities.Showcase strategic thinking in the development of strategy, planning, negotiations, and tactical execution of the plan.Fully understand the tools used in media planning scenarios, like Commspoint
  • Client Management & Relationships: Ability to confidently update and speak to internal and client status documents. Owner of client launch emails to inform ongoing updates Ability to confidently present campaign performance to the client, showing solid knowledge around media strategies and tactics Be an active participant in client meetings, taking the lead when the discussion revolves around areas of responsibility.

What you will need:

  • 2-3 years of experience at an agency or similar environment
  • Experience in traditional and digital media planning/buying
  • Strong experience in Search
  • Ability to write a strong, comprehensive brief 
  • A curious and creative approach to planning
  • Desire to mentor and coach team members
  • Desire to learn new things, both formally and informally
  • Ability to work on several projects at once
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations
  • Excellent communication skillsExcellent negotiation skills
