Location: New York City Office (3x a week)
Responsibilities:
The Manager of Media Operations owns the monitoring and optimization of revenue growth, advertiser performance, and profitability KPIs across partner channels. This role works directly with our Paid Media Team and our publisher partnerships to develop, negotiate, and execute revenue driven strategies. To accomplish this, this role must effectively coordinate with multiple stakeholders, such as Ad Operations, Paid Media, Yield, Product, and Sales, to successfully execute against allotted advertiser revenue allocations, test and optimize ad products, and manage inventory flows and sources.

Management Expectations
- Partner with Media Ops Director on strategic Media Ops growth, achieving quarterly and annual goals, and overall process improvement.
- Hire, coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.
- Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback.
- Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity amongst the Media Ops Team that allows for disagreement over ideas, conflict and quick conflict resolution, cohesiveness, support, and working effectively together to enable each employee to succeed.
- Lead employees using a performance management and development process that provides an overall context and framework to encourage employee contribution and includes goal setting, feedback, and performance development planning.
- Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action, with the assistance of Human Resources, when necessary.
Campaign Management
- Data driven performance monitoring/optimizations based upon revenue goals, advertiser KPIs, GBR GPM
- Develop and refine Media Ops process while ensuring effective execution across Media Ops Specialists/Coordinators.
- Coordinate with Yield Analyst and Ad Operations for any campaign changes (pricing/budget updates, compliance updates, etc.)
- Coordinate with Product and Media Teams on testing to improve CTU/advertiser performance across publishers.
- Client performance optimization (offer row position, qualifier page, whole row clickable)
- Administrative ticketing via Salesforce and JIRA (i.e., rate updates, campaign pauses, budget updates, traffic increases/decreases)
- Maintain records in Salesforce to ensure publisher campaigns reflect the most accurate and up to date information.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in revenue operations, digital advertising, ad operations, or a similar role, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and optimizing advertiser performance.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including hiring, mentoring, and developing teams to achieve quarterly and annual goals.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with proficiency in monitoring KPIs such as revenue goals, GBR, GPM, and advertiser metrics using tools like Salesforce, JIRA, and data visualization platforms.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience coordinating across cross-functional teams including Ad Operations, Paid Media, Yield, Product, and Sales.
- Familiarity with digital media ecosystems, including publisher partnerships, ad product testing, inventory management, and campaign optimization strategies.
- Strategic thinker with a bias for action and passion for delivering results.

The annual base salary for this position is expected to be between 160k and 185k. Base salary is one component of Gen's total compensation package, which includes 401(k) match, health insurance options, disability coverage, life insurance, and unlimited paid time off. Actual salaries will vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies related to the role.
