How you will make contributions that matter

Join Saputo Dairy Australia as a Mechanical Fitting Tradesperson at our Burnie site. As a qualified tradesperson you will have experience as a mechanical fitter and sound knowledge of the trade, working within the food industry. You will be responsible for covering breakdowns, preventative maintenance & continuous improvement. You will join a maintenance team of around 40 people, around 3000 Saputo colleagues across Australia and more than 18,000 around the world.

 Key elements of your role will include:

• Contributing to the Site KPI’s in reducing technical downtime and completing Preventative Maintenance schedules for compliance.
• Ensuring good manufacturing practices is followed at all times adhering to Workplace Health and Safety, companies’ policies and procedures and site rules.
• Building and maintaining a working team environment with a wide range of departments and across all levels throughout the business.
• Shift work-24/7 Roster
• Involvement in Continuous Improvement Projects

About you

You will have:

• A Trade Qualification – Mechanical fitting or similar.
• Previous work experience in a highly automated FMGC environment is desirable.
• Previous experience using computer systems ideally SAP
• Ability to problem solve via Problem solving methods.
• Ability to work and communicate well within a team.
• 4th Year Apprentices also encouraged to apply
