Amentum is seeking a skilled Mechanical Trades Person to join our team for an OCONUS construction project. This project will last approximately 8-months. This will be an opportunity to work on a high-impact project in a dynamic environment. The position will require the following attributes and responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace
- Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals
- Be responsible for the planning and laying out of work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions, using a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools and standard measuring instruments
- Make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work.
- Select materials necessary for the work
- Install and test FCU / Piping / Insulation / Cladding
- Install and Test Chiller Unit to include piping / insulation / cladding
- Install fire suppression piping and components
- Install toilet plumbing and fixtures
- Assist with the overall project goals, to include material handling, housekeeping and various activities that may arise during the course of the work
- Performs other duties and activities as directed.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have a Secret US Government Security Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Security Clearance
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- OCONUS Experience
- 4 years working in the trade
- Construction Journeyman
