The Thermal Design/Analysis Engineer - is responsible for supporting the design, analysis, development, and documentation of mechanical systems and thermal environments for satellite product lines. You will join Boeing's Space Mission Systems Engineering team and gain a comprehensive view of satellite design from contract initiation through build, test, and final launch. This role offers the potential to grow into leadership or management, or to continue developing deep technical expertise in aerospace. Relocation assistance is available for this position.
Position Responsibilities
- Supporting the development, maintenance, or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customers.
- Performing detail design and analysis development and modification of mechanical, electrical, and thermal system installations.
- Assisting in preparing technical documents for mechanical components and systems.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment: Ability to Obtain Tier 5 (formerly SSBI) - Post-Start
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
- Academic or professional experience with Thermodynamics, Heat transfer, Thermal analysis, or System engineering
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experienced, Level 3: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Lead, Level 4: 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Master's Degree with a specialization in Thermodynamics, Heat transfer, Thermal analysis, or System engineering
- Hands-on experience working in development labs and with cross-discipline engineering teams is highly desired and will help in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience with Thermal Desktop, SINDA, and CREO
- Active Security Clearance
