As our project portfolio continues to grow across Europe, we are looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our high-performing team in Sines, Portugal. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of large-scale data centre projects while advancing your career within one of Europe's fastest-growing construction sectors.

As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing mechanical installation activities, driving safety and quality standards, and ensuring works are delivered efficiently and in line with project schedules. Working closely with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders, you will contribute directly to the successful delivery of a world-class data centre project.

Responsibilities

  • Champion a strong safety culture by leading weekly toolbox talks and promoting best practice across site operations.
  • Coordinate daily and weekly mechanical activities to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery.
  • Prepare and present weekly progress reports, highlighting milestones, risks, and mitigation actions.
  • Collaborate effectively with other trades and project stakeholders to ensure seamless site coordination.
  • Develop and manage two-week look-ahead schedules to support project planning and execution.
  • Monitor labour resources to ensure project demands and programme requirements are met.
  • Maintain the highest standards of workmanship, quality, and compliance across all mechanical installations.
  • Manage subcontractor performance, driving productivity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Escalate variations, delays, and potential programme impacts in a timely manner.
  • Verify that all materials and equipment comply with project specifications and quality requirements.
  • Ensure materials are received, stored, and protected correctly on site.
  • Confirm all subcontractor plant, tools, and access equipment are certified, compliant, and fit for purpose.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Mechanical Supervisor position.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and people-management skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement abilities with a collaborative approach.
  • Proven experience coordinating subcontractors and site-based mechanical activities.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical building services and installation practices.
  • Data centre experience is highly desirable, although candidates with relevant experience in other large-scale construction environments will also be considered.
  • A proactive mindset with a strong focus on safety, quality, and project delivery.
