Position Overview

We are currently recruiting Mechanical QA/QCs.

Our Mechanical QA/QCs are responsible for overseeing quality assurance and installation verification activities for complex construction and semiconductor facility projects. They ensure compliance with engineering specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements through comprehensive inspections, system walkdowns, documentation management, stakeholder coordination, and technical support. Works closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality installations, successful OAT/FAT outcomes, and seamless project execution from construction through commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial, interim, and final system walkdowns to verify installation quality, completeness, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with contractors and subcontractors to ensure all work is executed in accordance with customer requirements, industry standards, and established procedures.
  • Interpret, apply, and enforce applicable regulations, codes, and industry standards related to plumbing, HVAC, PVC, and PVDF systems.
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders to plan, schedule, and oversee construction and installation activities, addressing work procedures, quality concerns, and project execution requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive quality assurance records and documentation to demonstrate the implementation, effectiveness, and continuous maintenance of QA/QC programs.
  • Prepare, complete, and manage all required quality assurance documentation, inspection records, and project reports.
  • Generate detailed reports on project status, installation progress, quality metrics, and issue resolution activities.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with subcontractors, engineering teams, office personnel, consultants, and client representatives to support successful project delivery.
  • Represent the organisation during pre-construction meetings, design reviews, project coordination sessions, and operational meetings.
  • Perform final quality assurance inspections and acceptance reviews to ensure installations meet design specifications, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and respond to engineering and installation-related inquiries throughout project execution.
  • Review completed systems with owners and stakeholders, validating hardware configurations and installation quality against approved design documentation.
  • Verify that equipment and integrated systems successfully meet Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT) and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) requirements and performance expectations.
  • Identify, document, and resolve quality issues, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and verified prior to project completion.
  • Support project commissioning, turnover, and handover activities to ensure a smooth transition to operations and maintenance teams.

Requirements
  • Proven Quality Control (QC) experience within Ireland essential, preferably supporting large-scale construction, engineering, or semiconductor projects as strong knowledge of applicable Irish and international construction codes, industry standards, and safety regulations are a prerequisite.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes throughout the construction and commissioning lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated experience working in live semiconductor manufacturing environments, with a thorough understanding of cleanroom protocols, contamination control requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Working knowledge of semiconductor site standards, procedures, policies, and quality requirements is highly desirable.
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction activities, including mechanical, piping, HVAC, plumbing, process utility, PVC, and PVDF installations.
  • Experience conducting quality inspections, system walkdowns, punch-list management, and turnover activities in highly regulated environments.
  • Ability to review engineering drawings, specifications, method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs), and quality documentation.
  • Proven experience coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, engineering teams, client representatives, and project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Excellent technical reporting, documentation management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to identify quality issues, drive corrective actions, and ensure compliance with customer and project requirements.
  • Experience supporting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT), commissioning, and handover activities.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple activities in a fast-paced, high-tech construction environment.
