At GEA in Søborg, you will contribute to the development, customisation, and optimisation of key process equipment used across the food and chemical industries. Responsibilities / Tasks
At our site in Søborg, you will join our Center of Competence - Drying Technology department, where dedicated and highly skilled engineers and technicians work on both standard and customer-specific process equipment. In this department, you will be part of a smaller team, where all have a specific focus area within spraydrying and atomization. In the department there is a strong team spirit, and we have a high focus on colleague community.
In this role, you are hands-on with our products from day one, overseeing the journey from assembly to a fully tested, finished result. You’ll lead the way in troubleshooting and product refinement while ensuring all technical documentation is meticulous. Success in this position relies on seamless coordination with our suppliers and close internal alignment with our procurement, quality, and project management teams.
In this role, you will be a vital point of contact for our installed base. You must maintain a clear technical overview of our evolving product versions and utilize strong communication skills to provide efficient, high-quality support to our clients.
Your primary tasks will include:
- Responsible for the end-to-end delivery, including testing, trouble shooting and ad-hock assignments.
- Maintain of internal programs, and develop new tools
- Standardisation, optimisation, and further development of Rotary Atomizers
- Preparation of documentation such as technical manuals, risk assessments, etc.
- Component inspections at workshops
- Communication with the business and workshops to follow up on projects
Your Profile / Qualifications
You are structured, self-driven and thrive on taking full product responsibility. At the same time, you are a team player who values good communication and collaboration across departments.
Furthermore, we imagine that you are:
- Mechanical engineer – preferably MSc.
- Strong designing skills, including gears and rotordynamics
- Are experienced CAD user, preferably Inventor (3D)
- Have Danish and English proficiency – spoken as well as written
- Knowledge of production method/machining and materials is preferable
- Have experience with high-speed machinery and vibration analysis
