Position Summary:
Coperion Food Equipment LLC is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Sidney, OH. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering support to various departments and customers, developing material handling, and feeding solutions to meet customer needs.
Work You’ll Do:
• Provide support to internal sales, production, purchasing, service, and customers in the Americas market
• Act as an advisor for projects to grow the sales of Peerless/Shaffer diverse product portfolios and develop material handling and feeding solutions based on customer specifications and requirements
• Perform cost analysis for new or existing designs
• Ensure availability of proposed components for designs
• Create and revise detailed drawings using AutoCAD and Solidworks from mark ups, layouts, or verbal instruction
Team:
Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the Mechanical Engineer will be part of a close-knit, winning team of dedicated engineers working on various types of bakery equipment.
Basic Qualifications:
• Associate’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering/Technology or similar field
• 0-3+ years of experience working in mechanical engineering role
• Knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of mechanics, calculations of various moments, center of gravity, etc.
• General knowledge of ISO 9001 standards
• Understanding of AutoCAD and Solidworks
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Previous experience with industrial mixers or bakery equipment preferred
