Mechanical Engineer
VAC-CON is currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to provide production support and BOM creation for Various products built in Milwaukee.
Your Responsibility
- Work directly with other engineers to produce drawings from sketches, existing drawings, and electronic images.
- Preparation of accurate 3D solid models in Autodesk Inventor. Preparation of Bill of Materials for customer orders.
- Support on Processing Engineering Change Order (ECO) using Autodesk Vault Professional.
- Devise new design solutions to problems encountered.
- Assist On-Going Product Improvement team with Daily designs per Customer.
- Assist Product Development Team with New designs concepts needed to assist build new product.
- Collaborate with engineers and other personnel to identify, define, and solve problems.
- Review Issue management system and follow up on related Engineering Change orders.
- Work and communicate with other departments.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with codes and legal regulations.
- This individual will be trained in the Vac-Con ECO system to make drawing changes while not assisting Production, this will be a secondary job function.
- Creation of BOM for Vec-Loader products and develop modular BOM creation procedures.
This position Will report to Engineering Manager. This position will bridge the gap between engineering and production.
Required Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- Ability to read Electrical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic schematics.
