The Role: Engineering at Scale
As a Level III Engineer, you aren’t just making tweaks to existing designs; you are owning the engineering lifecycle for complex, multi-million dollar projects. You will design massive, high-torque systems involving heat transfer, material science, and advanced automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Custom Machine Design: Lead the design and development of custom food processing equipment (cookers, mixers, and material handling) using SolidWorks.
- Technical Analysis: Perform FEA (Finite Element Analysis), thermal calculations, and fluid dynamics modeling to ensure structural integrity and performance.
- Project Leadership: Serve as the technical lead on large-scale projects, coordinating between sales, fabrication, and automation to ensure "on-time" delivery.
- Sanitary Innovation: Apply hygienic design principles (3-A, USDA, EHEDG) to ensure equipment is safe for global food production.
- Manufacturing Support: Collaborate directly with our on-site fabrication shop to optimize designs for manufacturability (DFM).
- Experience: 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in heavy machinery, industrial equipment, or food/pharma manufacturing.
- Education: BS in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required; MSME or PE license is a plus.
- Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks and PDM systems.
- Specialized Knowledge: Strong understanding of thermodynamics, power transmission (motors/gearboxes), and stainless-steel fabrication.
- Communication: Ability to present complex technical concepts to both internal teams and global customers.
We offer the stability of an established company with the agility of a custom design-built firm.
- Direct Impact: Watch your designs move from the screen to the shop floor and eventually to global food facilities.
- 100% Paid Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision premiums for the employee are 100% company paid.
- Financial Growth: 401(k) with 4% company match after 6 months of employment.
- Work-Life Balance: Generous PTO (5.66 hours accrued per pay period) and a collaborative, professional culture.
- Pay Range: $116,200 – $127,300
- Full-Time: On-site in Santa Rosa, CA.
